Admission of Fault Won’t Happen. Here’s Why:

Letter from Eric Jelinski

We often uncover examples of mismanagement (an understatement in regard to recent examples), and then members claim to have no knowledge.   This is a due diligence e-mail for the Wynne/Horvath government.   There are several key issues and one is  the issue of the hearings of the Environmental Review Tribunals in regard to wind turbines.  There have been many such hearings where experts on the impacts of wind turbines have expressed concerns and pointed to peer reviewed papers written about such impacts; eg. health, noise, flickering lights, too close to airports, property values, stray voltage, and the issues list is indeed long,  http://ontario-wind-resistance.org/health/

Regardless of what concerned citizens have said, the liberal steam roller continues out of control approving wind turbine development after development in spite of having recently announced that the province has enough electricity!  Why?

It must be very boring for the lawyers for Samsung, WPD, developers, and the MOE and MNR to sit through lengthy hearings from concerned citizens, just to have to rule against the citizens’ concerns.  Such rulings I have noted previously effectively means the government is calling these citizens liars.  A probable ethical dilemma.  I often wondered why…but the answer is here in the salacious relationships between proponents of wind developers, the proponents who want to shut down nuclear, and employees of the government,

http://freewco.blogspot.ca/2013/10/environmental-review-tribunal-paul.html

It takes more than a few moments to absorb this this conspiracy theory, but the writing is on the wall in terms of all the e-mails and RSS feeds issued by ‘environmentalists’. Please read on.

Enter a new idea by the lawyers, by limiting the number of citizens and arbitrarily downgrading the credentials of those who speak.

After 5 years of the GEA and all of the world wide experience with wind turbines, is it possible that the Medical Officer of Health was wrong with  her decree about the 550 metre setback.  Of course it is “possible’ .  That is why there is always room for a second opinion.  Except that the government is acting along-side the proponent in squashing the second opinion coming from knowledgeable people like other doctors and those who are affected by the wind turbines.   The decisions of the ERT are by now so entrenched in saying that there are no adverse effects, even one admission that prevents one approval of one wind turbine is an admission that there is substance to what concerned citizens have been saying.  Folks, we have just found the invisible wall created by the government and the wind developers beyond which we are not allowed to tread!

Will the issues go away?  Not, never, ever in a blue moon.  A website has now been set up as part of the federal health study concerning radiation emitted from wind turbines,

http://ontario-wind-resistance.org/2013/10/15/important-announcement-health-canada-monitoring-site-now-available/

Many  papers and even books have been written about the adverse effects of wind turbine noise on health.

Is the continuation of approving the construction of wind turbines a cover for the MOH?  What was the exact study for the 550 metres? There is ample information  to find her ruling on the 550 metres has its problems for some people being more sensitive than others, and given the amplitude modulation that may occur at high power in the still of the night.  Please interview the affected people, and especially the people whose properties have been bought out by the wind turbine developers. A voluntary moratorium on wind turbines would be ceding defeat and accepting all of the claims.  The cost of making those affected whole would be larger than the gas plant fiasco.

There is the other reason I alluded to earlier.  Since the liberal  clan screwed up royally on the gas plants, and they should be rightfully booted out by Horvath.   Why isn’t Horvath giving them the boot?   The liberals don’t yet realize they are being held to ransom  Horvath is saying, “ gi’me what I want or I’ll dump you.  You know the rest, the killer always shoots the victim anyway.   What Horvath wants is wind turbines to shut down nuclear just like in Germany. Damned the high cost of electricity, damned the jobs the NDP don’t care about jobs, real jobs.  See the Toronto Star report on interns working for free, http://www.thestar.com/news/gta/2013/07/22/training_or_work_unpaid_interns_want_companies_to_pay_up.html

How many people in Ontario do we have doing slave labour thank you to the liberals and ndp?  The only issue the ndp are concerned about is to copy Germany into Ontario, high electricity costs will spur conservation they say, but in Germany high prices has lowered the standard of living and energy poverty.  It’s coming to Ontario.   The government has stacked the ERT process to achieve the goal of its lobbyists who will cash in on the FIT rates and screw anybody who gets in the way!

In the above, I suggested the issue may not go away.  I suspect that the only ending is the end of this government, either the liberals wake up and pull the plug asap, or unless Horvath manages to drag out her blackmail of this government until the four years is up…mark my words.

Today the Environmental Review Tribunal selects who may speak at their hearings, tomorrow we may find those who are allowed to vote have been preselected by the same government.  We are on a slippery slope.  Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely.  Science and rational reason went by the wayside the moment the GEA was created.

I think we have figured out what this liberal  caucus is doing by a combination of commission as well as omission. Most of the pieces fit the puzzle.   Now it is just a matter of spreading the word about the eventual picture.

Have a nice day,  Eric

Turbine noise creating health problems for students

Illinois School Superintendent Letter:

This letter was submitted to the Vermilion Illinois County Board Chairman Gary Weinard by William C. Mulvaney, the Superintendent of Schools for Armstrong Township High School and Armstrong-Ellis CUD #61 in Illinois. Mr. Mulvaney also served on a wind ordinance panel. His message about students and families suffering the impacts of turbine noise and flicker is important….

I have noticed that we have some children in our district that appear to be having some medical issues related to the wind turbines. Headaches, lack of sleep and jaw issues seem to be the most common. The students also complain about not being able to sleep or not getting a full night’s sleep due to sound issues.

We have also been advised that we will be losing a couple of families because the wind turbines were placed close to homes and the families can no longer handle the flicker and noise issues.

Financial Post on a Roll This Week

Climate forecast: All’s well, despite what the IPCC says.                                     Kesten C. Green, J. Scott Armstrong and Willie Soon, Special to Financial Post | 08/10/13

Our research in progress tests more forecasting methods, uses more and better data, and extends the validation tests to the present time. The findings strengthen our conclusions that there are no scientific forecasts of dangerous global warming.

Without scientific forecasts, the alarm is false. Government programs, subsidies, taxes, and regulations put up as responses to the global warming alarm can only result in wasteful misallocations of valuable resources.

Ontario’s Latest Electricity Scheme: Pumped Energy Storage

For ratepayers, none of this is working. Wind and solar are not just unreliable. Ratepayers pay unaffordable prices for their chaotic output. Adding the cost of storage puts ratepayers in double jeopardy.

Advocates for electricity storage schemes have a new sales pitch. They are needed to offset the unreliability of wind and solar power. In Ontario’s electricity business environment, where cost is no object, adding more unreliable wind and solar creates a need for more storage to support grid reliability.

89-Year-Old Who Refused Census is Acquitted

Updated: Wed, 09 Oct 2013 11:29:48 GMT | By CBC News, cbc.ca

I guess the question remains…how far are we willing to go to stand up for what we believe, for what we know is right.?

Audrey Tobias, 89, refused to fill out her 2011 census form because it is processed using software from Lockheed Martin. CBC

Audrey Tobias, 89, refused to fill out her 2011 census form because it is processed using software from Lockheed Martin. CBC

A Toronto judge ruled today that an 89-year-old peace activist who refused to fill out the census because of its link to a U.S. military contractor is not guilty of violating the Statistics Act, an offence which could have included a penalty of jail time.

Audrey Tobias argued that she didn’t file her 2011 census because it is processed using software from Lockheed Martin.

The Crown argued that Tobias had no lawful excuse for her refusal, which led to a charge against her under the Statistics Act and carried a penalty of three months in prison.

Outside the courtroom after the ruling, Tobias thanked the judge for his decision and said her first thought was “goodness gracious” when the ruling came down.

“He put a lot of work and analysis and care into that judgement,” she said.

“I think it’s a significant issue for Canadians. I think people will know now what their government is all about.”

Tobias also said she would have been willing to go to jail had she been found guilty.

“I would have done whatever was necessary,” she said. “Under no circumstances would I have paid a fine, which was a way of saying I was guilty.”

In making her defence before the court, Tobias had argued that forcing her to complete the census would have violated her freedoms of conscience and free expression

Life Takes Over

I envy you Verity. To feel that CAGW has been emasculated enough to no longer pose a threat or to label as boring. I’m sick of all this too. Unfortunately, although this climate change monster is dead we slaughtered it while it was standing on a mountain top. As its carcass rolls downward, it will still devastate and destroy. In our politically poisoned province of Ontario our battle against renewables is coming to a boiling point. We are steadily and stealthily being plastered with wind turbines, transmission and collector lines, roads and all sorts of global warming cult paraphernalia. This great battle is just beginning and the winner is still very uncertain. Verity, step back for a while and regroup. We still need you.

Verity Jones's avatarDigging in the Clay

It’s the beginning of the end.  Watch the Giant with Feet of Clay crumble. A train wreck in slow motion. There’s more sense being said about AR5 than would have been imaginable eighteen months ago when drafts were available. In fact some of the media coverage (e.g. Newsnight) has been jaw-droppingly almost balanced in both invited participants and the line of questioning.

As the CAGW frenzy  whipped up by the overstatement of zealous believers and compliant shut down of debate in the media was increasingly untenable, reasoned debate has begun to happen and the imperative ‘need’ to blog melted away.

Normal life has taken over, or, I should say, has resumed at last.

Sacrificing an Idyll for an Ideal

The German Energiwiende or Energy Transformation is one huge human and environmental disaster.  One more victim to add to its growing pile and violations on areas of quiet and serene landscapes. For complete story read here:

Local Residents Pay High Price The highest price, though, may be paid by local residents. The construction time required for the project is estimated to be five years, a time during which an endless stream of noisy trucks will make their way up and down the mountain, day and night. Wide roads will have to be built through the forest up to Jochberg Mountain, and it’s possible that a concrete factory will have to be built on site to support the project. Rock and boulders from the tunnel will be dumped to create a wall around the reservoir. Throughout the building process, the village will be noisy, dusty and smelly. But the situation could be even worse for the Jocheralm, which is considered one of the most beautiful alpine meadows in Germany. On sunny summer days, as many as 500 hikers can be found on the trails here. If Energieallianz moves forward with its plans, it would all be submerged under water. Huts located in the meadows would have to be moved and those sitting outside on the banks would no longer get to enjoy vistas of content cows and lush meadows. Instead they’d be confronted with a metal fence in front of an asphalt reservoir.

We here in Ontario are not exempt from stupid.  No surprise there.

Greepeace Founder Slams David Suzuki

Dr Patrick Moore talks about the enviromentalists warped anti -human crusade and their goal to eliminate all forms of energy except for sun and solar.  This interview takes  an inside look at their warped ideology and describes them as self defeating and counterproductive.  Talks some great “Ecosense”.  We need to hear more of this kind of sensible, practical environmentalism.
