Al Gores lashes out at MSM after Reuters rates him a has-been

The truth hurts…..and Gore is in pain!!!

Steve Milloy's avatarJunkScience.com

After Reuters reported that skeptics have turned Gore into a has-been, Gore attacked the MSM for cowering before skeptics. He must be competing in the Petulance Olympics against Michael Mann-child.

Lost in a green nightmare

She should be forced to spend a winter without adequate heat. Some people have to experience things to learn, or empathize.

James Delingpole’s article “Global Warming believers are feeling the heat”  should certainly warm your cockles — it certainly did mine.  Wonderful, resonant phrases: “The science used to ‘prove’ man-made global warming looks increasingly threadbare … Al Gore’s “consensus” is about to be holed below the waterline … those still aboard the SS Global Warming are adjusting their positions”.

The IPCC hopes (in James’ phrase) to “brazen it out for a few more years”.  Dr. Ravendra Pachauri, Railway Engineer and IPCC Chairman, has insisted that global warming continues because we’ve just had the warmest decade on record.  No prizes for logic here.  We’ve seen a rather small, slow and uncertain warming for the last 150 years, as the world has recovered from the Little Ice Age, and appears to be moving into a new 21st Century optimum, comparable to the Roman Optimum and the Mediæval Warm Period.  On that basis…

Sick Again – motion sickness sufferers cop it worst from giant fans

Just like the kid at the carnival, who vomits on the rides, the victims of wind are NOT faking it!

The bi-annual Wind Turbine Noise Conference was held in Denver, in August 2013. The conference is hosted by ICEN: Europe (International Institute of Noise Control Engineering) and looked at 79 research papers about wind turbine noise around the themes of:

  • Low frequency noise and infrasound: Measurements and effects
  • Amplitude modulation
  • Instrumentation
  • Effects of WTN on individuals
  • Sound Imission and Emission Measurements
  • Structure-borne Noise/Vibration
  • Propagation Wind Effects Modelling
  • Regulations & Policies.

A few of these papers are now in the public domain – one of them is the work of Paul Schomer – one of America’s leading acoustic experts – and a band of others, including medical researchers – aimed at reaching an understanding as to why a significant proportion of wind farm neighbours suffer motion-sickness like symptoms. The opening summary of the paper says:

For at least four decades there have been reports in scientific literature of people being made…

WLWAG: Wind Battle Year in Review

YER  DSCN0988

WLWAG Year in Review.   This year has presented many  difficulties and at times disappointments for wind action groups around Ontario but Wednesday night was definitely a bright moment for the West Lincoln Wind Action Group.
DSCN0982
Speakers, community members and WLWAG came to together at the Wellandport Community Hall to be updated on the status of the battle against the NRWC and the IPC projects.   Neil Schwitzer, chairperson of the event gave an informative overview of the status. Updates were also provided by the  leaders of  sub-committees and wind actions (health, environment, legal actions, appeals, communications, finances, fundraising etc.) as well as an update from our allied friends at “STOP” and “Mothers Against Turbines.”  A special thanks to Tricia Vaughn  who recognised a need for this  information update for the community and Deb Murphy who encouraged us all to spread the information.
Ed and Ann Fairfield relayed to the audience their own battle with the IPC and what their next step would be.  As always finances would be an issue and requested help with this.  They reminded us that this was really a community battle.

Coming all the way from Goderich, Shawn Drennan was the  special speaker for the event.  He updated us on the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms  battle against the GEA and its legislation and urged us all to “Unite the Fight”.  He stressed that we really needed to pool our resources and focus and that if he and his lawyer Julian Falconer were successful with their court case then it would have wide ranging implications for all wind projects and its victims across Ontario.

Since giant fans went up – only the bravest drink from my well

Wind weasels deny all the problems that they cause, because they don’t want to be held accountable!

In our post “The Breakout” we talked about just how sick and tired we all are of crippling wind power driven electricity prices, how those unfortunates stuck with giant fans are sick and constantly tired as a result of incessant and debilitating low-frequency turbine noise – and how the world is growing tired of the nauseating stream of a wind weasel corruption, lies and deceit.

Adverse interference with water tables is just another “wonderful” feature of eco-friendly giant fans.  The largest fans require a steel reinforced concrete base of around 400 m³.

The base itself – depending on the rock strata – for 3MW turbines will be set up to 30 m below the surface and – if the soil is unstable and rock anchors are required – reinforced concrete pillars are drilled up to 90 m below the surface and literally screwed into the rock strata. …

If Australia wants ANY industry – the RET must go

Renewable energy targets world-wide should be scrapped!!!

stopthesethings's avatarSTOP THESE THINGS

Australians have a choice – maintain the Renewable Energy Target (RET) or kiss goodbye to what’s left of our manufacturing industry and say bon voyage to our minerals processing sector.

The RET is an economic suicide pact which is not only harming the poorest and most vulnerable members of our society, it’s making it impossible for Australian manufacturers and mineral processors to compete internationally.  And that means higher unemployment and less meaningful employment for those lucky enough to get work.

If you want your kids’ career prospects limited to saying: “do you want fries with that?” – then fight tooth and nail for the status quo. Otherwise, join the growing queue calling on the Coalition to scrap the RET outright.

Here’s STT Champion, Alan Moran in The Australian yesterday – at the head of that queue and telling it like it is.

Energy costs continue to dog industry
