Lost in a green nightmare

She should be forced to spend a winter without adequate heat. Some people have to experience things to learn, or empathize.

James Delingpole’s article “Global Warming believers are feeling the heat”  should certainly warm your cockles — it certainly did mine.  Wonderful, resonant phrases: “The science used to ‘prove’ man-made global warming looks increasingly threadbare … Al Gore’s “consensus” is about to be holed below the waterline … those still aboard the SS Global Warming are adjusting their positions”.

The IPCC hopes (in James’ phrase) to “brazen it out for a few more years”.  Dr. Ravendra Pachauri, Railway Engineer and IPCC Chairman, has insisted that global warming continues because we’ve just had the warmest decade on record.  No prizes for logic here.  We’ve seen a rather small, slow and uncertain warming for the last 150 years, as the world has recovered from the Little Ice Age, and appears to be moving into a new 21st Century optimum, comparable to the Roman Optimum and the Mediæval Warm Period.  On that basis…

Sick Again – motion sickness sufferers cop it worst from giant fans

Just like the kid at the carnival, who vomits on the rides, the victims of wind are NOT faking it!

stopthesethings's avatarSTOP THESE THINGS

The bi-annual Wind Turbine Noise Conference was held in Denver, in August 2013. The conference is hosted by ICEN: Europe (International Institute of Noise Control Engineering) and looked at 79 research papers about wind turbine noise around the themes of:

  • Low frequency noise and infrasound: Measurements and effects
  • Amplitude modulation
  • Instrumentation
  • Effects of WTN on individuals
  • Sound Imission and Emission Measurements
  • Structure-borne Noise/Vibration
  • Propagation Wind Effects Modelling
  • Regulations & Policies.

A few of these papers are now in the public domain – one of them is the work of Paul Schomer – one of America’s leading acoustic experts – and a band of others, including medical researchers – aimed at reaching an understanding as to why a significant proportion of wind farm neighbours suffer motion-sickness like symptoms. The opening summary of the paper says:

For at least four decades there have been reports in scientific literature of people being made…

Since giant fans went up – only the bravest drink from my well

Wind weasels deny all the problems that they cause, because they don’t want to be held accountable!

****

In our post “The Breakout” we talked about just how sick and tired we all are of crippling wind power driven electricity prices, how those unfortunates stuck with giant fans are sick and constantly tired as a result of incessant and debilitating low-frequency turbine noise – and how the world is growing tired of the nauseating stream of a wind weasel corruption, lies and deceit.

Adverse interference with water tables is just another “wonderful” feature of eco-friendly giant fans.  The largest fans require a steel reinforced concrete base of around 400 m³.

The base itself – depending on the rock strata – for 3MW turbines will be set up to 30 m below the surface and – if the soil is unstable and rock anchors are required – reinforced concrete pillars are drilled up to 90 m below the surface and literally screwed into the rock strata. …

If Australia wants ANY industry – the RET must go

Renewable energy targets world-wide should be scrapped!!!

stopthesethings's avatarSTOP THESE THINGS

Australians have a choice – maintain the Renewable Energy Target (RET) or kiss goodbye to what’s left of our manufacturing industry and say bon voyage to our minerals processing sector.

The RET is an economic suicide pact which is not only harming the poorest and most vulnerable members of our society, it’s making it impossible for Australian manufacturers and mineral processors to compete internationally.  And that means higher unemployment and less meaningful employment for those lucky enough to get work.

If you want your kids’ career prospects limited to saying: “do you want fries with that?” – then fight tooth and nail for the status quo. Otherwise, join the growing queue calling on the Coalition to scrap the RET outright.

Here’s STT Champion, Alan Moran in The Australian yesterday – at the head of that queue and telling it like it is.

Energy costs continue to dog industry

Dear Concerned Citizens…please comment on this registry!!!

Dear Concerned Citizens,

The Environmental Registry for Ontario (ERB) has posted the following proposal for public comments until Oct. 5, 2013. According to the  ERB Registry # 011-9860 this proposal is for a new Environmental Compliance Approval (Air and Noise) for a wind turbine rotor blades facility located in Welland, Ontario.

The facility will have eighteen (18) exhaust fans and two (2) dust extraction systems serving the processing area, as well heating and stand-by power systems. Emissions to the atmosphere will include ammonia, petroleum distillates, ethylbenzene and suspended particulate matter.

Powerblades Industries Inc is applying to have a release of  toxins allowed in the approval so there will be no legal way to shut them down for this unless it can be proven that they are over the limit stated in the approval and they are unsuccessful at mitigating this over the limit amount within about 2 years.

Comments can be made on line at

For those of you that would like additional information the following fact sheets have been made available:

Ethylbenzene MSDS      http://www.sciencelab.com/msds.php?msdsId=9923958

Ammonia Solution  http://wwwsci.seastarchemicals.com/safety/07AmmoniaMSDSRev201109.pdf

Petroleum Distillates  http://www.online.petro-canada.ca/datasheets/en_CA/w276.pdf

Carbon Nanotubes and ASBESTOS – http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2706793

My particular concern is what is in the Suspended Particulate Matter?  Since the blades are made from a carbon fibre – a non-recyclable material – is one of the particulate fibres Carbon Nanotubes (CNTs)‏?

Carbon nanotubes (CNTs), are valuable industrial products with multiple applications in the field of nanotechnologies. Yet legitimate concerns about their potential adverse effects on human health need to be addressed because theypresent similarities to asbestos fibres in terms of their shape and size. It is legitimate to raise the question of their safety for human health. CNTs are elongated and ultrafine, and the fact is that human beings may be exposed to CNTs through inhalation. While not yet definitive, data are now available providing information on the pulmonary and cellular effects of CNTs, which may be compared to those of asbestos fibres.

We do not need another asbestos like fiasco because we jumped into something without due diligence. Ignorance will not protect anyone. Plausible deniability as in “I didn’t know” will not protect us from the scientific effects of ammonia, petroleum distillates, ethylbenzene, and suspended particulate matter.

A Senior Official with the MOE has confirmed that as of Dec 2012 there were no medical experts on their staff. Dr. Arlene King, the Chief Medical Officer of Health for Ontario, does not want any involvement with the effects of IWT’s on human health. According to the MOE health complaints are to be given to the local Medical Officer of Health. The local Medical Officer of Health for the Niagara Region is Dr. Valerie Jaeger.

David Suzuki Drives Me Crazy

Miranda Devine •The Daily Telegraph •September 25, 2013 12:00AM

And here I thought Australia loved David Suzuki.

A piece of footage doing the rounds of social media this week shows a young Suzuki in 1972 describing humans as “maggots” that “defecate all over the environment”.

Nothing much has changed. Asked if he still wanted to jail politicians for “denying what you call the science of climate change”, Suzuki said: “You bet … it is a crime against future generations and there ought to be a legal position of intergenerational crime and I think there is criminal negligence.”

What about reckless endangerment of the economy with fairy stories. Is that a crime?

AAAWwwwwww. Maybe its just a bad week for saint Suzuki. For more on this love fest read here:

TURBINES OF DEATH

SUB: how wind farms slaughter native wildlife, and worsen our health

WORDS BY MELISSA WISHART

With a healthy environment at the forefront of everybody’s minds lately, New Zealand is jumping headfirst into wind energy as a supposedly “clean, green” alternative to the current array of ways to generate electricity.

On the surface, it seems ideal. Wind is clean, free and renewable, and is described by the New Zealand Wind Energy Association to be “crucial to New Zealand’s energy future” – but are we looking at it through rose tinted glasses?

Wind farms are being hailed as the eco-friendly power source set to take the country by storm. In reality, while we may be protecting the earth from allegedly harmful toxins and gases, could the wildlife, and perhaps even the public, be suffering?

Wind turbines, while not burning any fuel or…
