Last Saturday’s anti-turbine demonstration on Highway 402 was the logical result of the Ontario government’s refusal – through its Green Energy Act – to permit local residents and their elected municipal councils the opportunity to make a decision about the location of wind turbines.

Reports say about 150 vehicles, many of them farm machinery and pickup trucks, shut down the mid-section of Highway 402 just west of Strathroy. The rally began at the highway’s intersection with Forest Road.

The rally was staged by protesters upset with the location and sheer number of wind turbines located in western Middlesex County and eastern Lambton County.

I am extremely concerned at reading a report in The Land newspaper (18.9.13) that you intend to “begin talking to wind farm operators before parliament sits in November to discuss the scope of the [health effects] inquiry and a law to establish real time monitoring.”

I am concerned that the “scope” of the health effects study, or the form of the real-time monitoring should in any way depend on discussions with the wind energy industry.

The wind energy industry will certainly attempt to persuade you to limit the scope of the the health effects study, and to regard such a study…

A day doesn’t go by that the citizens of Ontario don’t have to suffer “salt in their wounds” from a disrespectful and dysfunctional Government!

Wynne to women’s summit: anyone can be premier

With very few notable exceptions, it seems the British media is stuffed with hacks who exhibit no evidence of an enquiring mind, no willingness to question and test the stories they are being fed and no interest in publishing challenging pieces that readers need to be told, no matter how difficult the conclusion is for people to accept.

The Mail on Sunday has one of its increasingly half baked, cor blimey editorials today where is proclaims ‘We must sort out fuel prices… right now’.  It doesn’t perform any real service to its readers because it doesn’t recognise and set out the real problems about energy prices.

At the most simplistic level, prices are rising for four reasons:

1. Increasing energy prices on the wholesale market are being passed on to customers by the regulated providers
2. Increasing government-imposed ‘green levies’ imposed to pay subsidies and grossly inflated tariffs to corporates and land…

This is way over the top!

It’s not right for our tax dollars to be used to spout propaganda and complete misinformation about our failed energy sector to us adults but when a McWynnty-backed monstrosity like the OPA starts to spread the Green Fraud on our children then enough is enough!

This is unforgivable and unacceptable! Notice the very first reference on the following website is the disgraced “Suzuki Foundation” who is about as bad as it gets for publishing the Green Insanity in ever increasing portions of ludicrous and false claims which should never be allowed in the public arena!

To try and squeeze this tripe into our children’s lives smacks of CHILD ABUSE and this is a call for all families to BOYCOTT this website, inform your children that this should be banned from viewing and actually report this information as “dangerous and harmful”!

Research links aircraft noise to higher rates of heart disease

Exposure to high levels of aircraft noise could put people at risk of developing heart disease and stroke, research has found.

The results underline the sensitivity around choosing the site for Sydney’s second airport, after the Abbott government indicated it would nominate Badgerys Creek.

The study of more than 3.6 million London residents has found those living in areas under flight paths that were most exposed to noise were up to 24 per cent more likely to be admitted to hospital from a stroke than people living in the quietest areas.

Experts say the stress caused by the loud plane noise could trigger a damaging nervous system response, causing the blood pressure and heart rate of people who are exposed to increase.

OPP warns tickets are possible if protest is deemed a safety risk on Highway 402

Opponents of rural wind farms in Ontario plan to block traffic on major provincial highway Saturday.

Organizers are urging protesters to slow traffic to a crawl on Highway 402, east of Sarnia.

They want to get the attention of Premier Kathleen Wynne. They claim she is ignoring health and property value concerns allegedly caused by wind turbines.

Organizer Muriel Allingham hopes to see hundreds turn out for the procession of tractors and farm machinery.

The website for Ontario Wind Resistance is promoting the rally, called Ontario is Not a Willing Host Rally.

“Ensure that your vehicle is capable of travelling at 20 km/hr,” the site reads.

Allingham said police are cooperating.
