  1. Before schools had electricity children who had difficulty seeing were allowed to sit near the windows or at the front of the room to be able see the blackboard. So there really is no need to have the lights on in classrooms that have almost one wall of windows.
    Then they can do their homework using a couple of night lights which should provide about as much light as a couple of candles or an oil lamp.
    Offices with large windows can do the same.
    Great way to conserve electricity.

    1. Many of the new “modern design” schools, are made with small, or no windows that open. They seem to have gotten away from the natural light, and instead, usually rely on fluorescent. The whole design emphasis will have to change.
