Frau Merkel has the science education to understand energy issues but whould rather be Chancellor than right.
Obama has very little science education and relies on the eco-nuts he appoints to government postions to craft U.S. energy policy. This goes along with a Congress that has its share of eco-nuts as well.
Outlook for the U.S. is not good.
